Who is Oleander?

I am a queer author that tends to focus on themes of identity and power. I write stories that are evocative, and stretch the boundaries of genre between science fiction, fantasy and horror. My taste is questionable.

Originally from Texas, I've lived in several areas within the United States, and currently reside in Connecticut with my partner, two dogs and two cats. When not writing, I can be found tending to my ever sprawling garden or resisting the siren call of yet another hobby.

Here you can find information about the books I've written, or check out some of my essays and stories on the writing archive. You can also subscribe to my mailing list to stay up to date with what I'm working on and gain access to early release chapters of The Wards Will Fall.

Praise for Devouring Fortune

Angela Boord, Author of SPFBO5 Finalist Fortune's Fool

"Five stars for ambitious characters, lush worldbuilding, and expert storytelling in a queer normative world."

Seth Haddon, Author of Volatile Memory and Reforged

“Evoking the spirit of late-'90s epic fantasy and the weight of consequence found in Dune, Devouring Fortune is a compelling reminder of just how expansive the genre can be."

Ladz, Author of The Cradle of Eternal Night

"Craw weaves a treat for readers who love unreliable narrators and unexpected reveals that keep everyone guessing until the last page."
