I previously mentioned that I was going to start a weekly accountability note to discuss what I'm working on and such, but after some further reflection I've decided to do a daily note instead! This will probably be Monday through Thursday, with occasional notes on other days scattered in. Shout out to my friend, Dave Goodman (Goodman's website is linked here), who was the inspiration for the format of these posts.
My goal is to be consistent with my time. I also think focusing on what other media I'm experiencing will be good to be more meaningful about it all. I tend to go through fallow periods and then wonder why I feel stagnant. So let's see where this goes.

FOCUS: Copy edits of The Wards Will Fall. I already got through all the grammar updates over the weekend, but the focus today was on addressing in-line comments from my editor and tweaking/clarifying some wording. I managed to get through 270 pages, which is a little over halfway through the manuscript.
PROCESS & SUCH: Through the morning I used 30 minutes sprints using the Sprinto bot on Discord, joined by some friends. I did two 30 minute sprints with a 5 minute break in between, followed by a longer 30 minute break, then two more 30 minute sprints. I took a break for lunch and to do some chores around the house (and send a brief to an artist and send off some disability paperwork) before getting back into edits. No sprints in the afternoon - I've found that when my ADHD meds start to wear off it's better to go as long as I can without disruption to remain in a groove.
WATCHING: Reruns of Psych while I do chores around the house and turn my brain off. I've watched the full show at least twice..three times? And it never gets old for me. I love the character work, the dialogue, the format. It's definitely a cozy watch and I don't know if I will ever get tired of it. Last night I watched the Tim Curry episode and laughed my ass off. My partner and I also watched Ferngully as part of our ongoing Tim Curry remembrance watch-a-thon.
LISTENING: A friend introduced me to The Animeros (Here's their Bandcamp link), an Austin-based band with the nostalgic sounds of South Texas. So I've spent the weekend listening to their album ¡Qué Bárbaro! and ended up buying the vinyl. Special shout outs to their songs Terlingua and Al Final del Camino.
READING: I'm in the middle of reading Hellbound by my friend, Stephanie Binx (Bookshop, Amazon, Kobo).
I pre-ordered this one through an indie bookstore and got a signed copy plus some fun swag. I'm going to have to find a place to put my new 'Welcome to Hell' sticker. So far having a good time. A bisexual disaster of a protagonist with complicated feelings for her demon boss, and her job involves dying repeatedly to go to hell to solve a mystery.
