Time to pivot projects.

I think I am going to write up something soon about dealing with Fedex charging inappropriate fees for books shipped from the UK. I'm not going to get into it too much here, but here's a good write up of what Fedex has been doing with books shipped from the UK/EU. As you can imagine, this is causing some issues given my special edition printer is in the UK.

So be warned - if you are a self-published author and order books from Bookvault be very careful with your shipping options.

Also if you are a paid subscriber, I've posted some sneak peeks of upcoming art for THE WARDS WILL FALL. Go check it out if you haven't already!

FOCUS: My focus was broken today by physical therapy at noon and a haircut later in the afternoon. I managed to get 383 words of MAGE WILLOW completed today, and took some notes on edits I already I know I want to make with earlier chapters I have completed.

My agent got back to me about STORMFORKS, so this is going to end up being what I prioritize moving forward. I really want to get a draft 2 together that is in a good spot.

PROCESS & SUCH: I am continuing to allow myself to bounce around to different sections of the manuscript which has been helpful to ward against the tendrils of burnout creeping towards me.

WATCHING: Last night we watched The Deadly Spawn, a scifi horror movie from 1983. This ended up being a surprisingly good time. Really enjoyed the puppets and special effects, and the gore was great.

LISTENING: I have The Dream Was The Cure by Jonathan Hultén on repeat at the moment. I am obsessed with this song and find it absolutely perfect for the vibe of MAGE WILLOW.

READING: I finished THE POET EMPRESS (Bookshop, Amazon, Kobo) today. I could NOT put this book down. Absolutely an incredible read.

LINK: If you are an author with chronic disabilities that impact your ability to do writing residencies, Spoonquill is currently accepting applications for their virtual writer residency next year.

UP NEXT: Tomorrow I focus on STORMFORKS. I need to figure out an edit plan and navigate through some setup I'm struggling with.
